Dr. Marc Putnam is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Putnam began ministry in the United Methodist Church, serving churches in Eden, Wentworth, and Pinnacle, North Carolina before returning to Greensboro to serve at Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church in 1992. Educational training includes Wheaton College (B.A), Indiana State University (M.A.), Duke University (M.Div), and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (D.Min). He is married to Elaine Stafford Putnam whom he met in the nursery at Trinity Church many years ago. Good times include “hanging out” with their three adult children and five grandchildren. Marc may be occasionally seen running with students from Western Guilford High School where he has coached cross country since 1999.
Rev. Lisa Tanico
Lisa comes to Trinity from the United Methodist Church, where she last served as a provisional elder in the Western NC Conference. She transferred to the Covenant Church in October 2020. Lisa was officially appointed to Trinity in November as a licensed Covenant minister, and will finish full ordination in 2022. She has served churches in Guilford, Forsyth, Randolph, and Stokes counties, and has served as a chaplain at Baptist Hospital. Her education includes a BA from Guilford College and an M.Div. from Duke. Passionate about art and design, prior to her ministry calling Lisa worked in advertising and magazine publishing, and also taught college art and design. She has an ongoing interest in shooting and editing video, as does her husband Wade, who has worked for LabCorp for over 20 years. Lisa and Wade live in Greensboro with their three cats and dog.
Liz Doebler, a Rochester, NY, native, is the Director of Music and Worship at Trinity Church, leading the adult choir, brass ensemble, and other small music ensembles. She earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at UNC-Greensboro, studying with Welborn Young and Carole Ott. She also holds a Master’s in Vocal Performance and a Master’s in Music Education, the latter from Ithaca College. Liz previously taught choir and vocal instruction at High Point University and recently directed the Cantata Singers at UNC School of the Arts. She lives in Jamestown with her husband Geoff, their children Lincoln and Brynn, and their dog Scrappy.

Born in Dalian, China, Mengfei has served as Trinity's organist and pianist since October 2017. Mengfei joined the Trinity congregation in 2017, and is passionate about learning liturgical music. Recently completing her doctoral degree in piano and early keyboard performance in UNCG, Mengfei is doing research on the late 19th - and early 20th -century French keyboard literature. In her spare time, Mengfei enjoys reading, hiking, and solo
